HCM Scan's clear

Spot loves to play with feathers - wont you let him play at your house?

We had

such a good weekend all the way around. Sunday we attended an HCM clinic in California driving over Saturday night, spending the night , going to the clinic at noon, then driving home in time to get the kids to bed and me to bed for work and school on Monday. While at the clinic  , both our retired and AVAILABLE kitties Ch Kender's Equinox and Ch Prekrasne's Mystery Machine of Kender scanned clear for the disease. So Yeah us!   We test all of our breeding kitties, and while these kitties are spayed and neutered and waiting for the perfect home to come along, they are still proving why healthy kitties are important. HCM can occur in any kitty at any time, and while it is more likely to occur in certain breeds over others, the responsible thing to do is always test your breeding stock.  More information on HCM can be found here  -  http://www.veterinarypartner.com/Content.plx?A=2507

We tend to test our kitties around the age of 2 years the first time - again, around the age of 5 , and finally between the ages of 7 and 8 if they are still with us and not already placed in new homes.

Velma is also ready for her forever home, she is spayed, HCM neg. 4 1/2 years of age, and has the most amazing green eyes ever!
